16 Bit Lolitas are another tech house import by way of the Netherlands, and are signed to the Armin Van Buuren powerhouse label Armada. Building steady dreamy beats that don’t fall short on supplying rising action and reaching dizzying crescendos of sound. 16 Bit Lolitas have found plenty of success in their homeland where their sound is considered almost essential, but have had a rough go of cementing their place in Western electronic music.
While they have had some serious stand out tracks in the form of “Murder Weapon” and “Nobody Seems To Care”, they still need a defining album to carve out a place within their subgenre of dance. Their EP releases “The Rise” and “You Are An Astronaut” were good stabs in this direction, but not the complete experience we craved. All things considered, this shouldn’t be very hard for the duo as they’re surrounded by some of the best and the brightest in the scene. 16 Bit Lolitas are definitely an artist to keep an eye on.
