Russian EDM duo Aurosonic was created in the mid 2000s by producer Evgeny Smirnov and DJ Sergey Klimov, and they quickly rose to international prominence. The pair began their careers separately, with Smirnov gaining recognition for his first track “Technik”, which was included on the well known Russian Trance Attack vol. 1 by ARK-SYSTEM Records. At the same time Klimov was making a name for himself as a DJ performing throughout the Moscow area, which culminated with him being honored as the Best DJ in Moscow in 2006. Right about that same time, the two joined up to form Aurosonic, which has since gone on to gain recognition from many of the hottest DJs on the scene, including Armin Van Burren, Andy Moor, Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, and Aly & Fila. Their tracks have garnered regular play on some of the biggest trance station in the world, including Afterhours, Globalbeats, and Megopolis. Currently, Klimov has his own radio show called Ethymology on VirusFM.
The duo is no longer collaborating at this time.
