Born on December 11, 1968 in Gießen, Hesse, Germany, DJ Chris Liebing is also a radio host, music producer and the engine that runs the music labels Spinclub Recordings and CLR.
Chris’s career was originally launched in 1990 when he was primarily playing Soul, Hip-hop, Pop and House. However, his growing passion for digital music triggered his launching of a club named Spinclub in 1994. During this period he started the label Soap Records with friends and also dove into his first studio experiences.
In 2001, Chris Liebing launched an exclusive remix label which he dubbed “CLRetry” on which he releases music from various DJs in the industry, including but not limited to Gaetano Parisio, Marco Carola, Adam Beyer, DJ Rush ,Steve Rachmad, Speedy J., Chris McCormack, Ian J. Richardson and Ben Sims.
Since then, Chris Liebing has been involved in a number of projects which have shaped the direction of his career. For example, in 2004 and 2005 Chris Liebing co-hosted an event which lead him to create a massive DJ extravaganza called “Spinclub Season” in 2006. Inspired by the success of this event, Chris launched the Spinclub Recordings label and thereafter the Spinclub Radio show in 2010.
While Chris’s music has constantly developed throughout his DJ career, he has always stayed devoted to his Techno roots. In fact, he was one of the very first DJs who employed the new capabilities of the digitalization of audio in imaginative manner. Thus, as a result of good collaboration with different applications and hardware manufacturers, his current set up offers him virtually endless possibilities, including real-time manipulation of sound. It is this real-time manipulation of digital factors that plays an essential part in Chris Liebing’s DJ sets to this very day.
Chris Liebing is a world-renowned DJ whose remixes and productions consistently appear on the play-lists of several other distinguished DJs around the world.
