Originally a drummer, Jeffrey Sutorius—better known as DJ Dash Berlin—started his electronic career in 1995 performing throughout the Netherlands’ underground music scene. Nearly ten years later, he teamed up with his friends Sebastian Molijn and Eelke Kalberg to form a group that performed under Sutorius’ DJ moniker. In 2007, Dash Berlin gained worldwide recognition when the track “Till the Sky Falls Down” topped charts in countries around the globe, thanks largely because it appeared on one of Armin Van Buuren’s Universal Religion mix albums.
Since launching his career, Dash Berlin has garnered a slew of prestigious awards. He won the International Dance Music Award for Best High Energy Track, and went on to receive nominations for Best European DJ and Best Trance Track. Dash Berlin was nominated for a much heralded Lunas Award in Electronic Music, which placed him among artists such as Paul van Dyk, David Guetta, and Armin Van Buuren.
In 2010, he entered DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs at No. 15, earning recognition for Highest New Entry. The following year, he was up to No. 8, and then No. 7, which makes him the second most listened to trance DJ on the planet.
