In the age of the celebrity DJ, no other can turn heads the manner Derrick Anthony can. Standing at 6′ 7″ and weighing over 300 lbs Derrick stands out. Having a pro career spanning over 15 years, this L.A. native has steadily worked to grow into a highly regarded Vegas DJ.
Supported by buddies, Derrick started spinning at local school parties and shortly was being sought after to deejay few nights per week. It was during this interval and soon after graduation he made your decision to take his love of music to another level by pursuing a music career in the city which never sleeps – Las Vegas.
Within his 1st year of moving, Derrick took a job at the radio station, Wild 102 FM. Desiring to create his mark in the Vegas night life, Derrick continued constructing his base with several of the city’s hottest nightclubs by taking residency at Club Utopia, Empire Ballroom, Club 7 and Drai’s After Hours, only to list a few. Spinning across multiple genres including House, Rock, Hip-Hop, Dance and Top 40, it was Derrick’s comprehension of the fast evolving world of being a real DJ united along with his power to bridge differences between music genres that immediately made him one of the city’s most popular deejays.

Since 2008, Derrick was spinning at the #1 and #2 nightclubs in the state – XS and Tryst within the Wynn/Encore Hotels in Vegas. “Being the resident DJ on top two night clubs in the united states is an immense honor for me personally, it only reveals hard work really pays off!” Besides being at Tryst and XS, Derrick’s combinations may also be heard in over 49 million dwellings through his several day-to-day spots about the Music Choice Network. His combinations are syndicated in Vegas, San Francisco, Palm Springs, Chicago, as well as on Sirius satellite radio each week.
In 2011 Derrick made his national television debut along with his performances on VH1’s “What Chilli Wants” the network’s # 1 rated show. Now Derrick is along the way of filming for his own reality show set to air in Autumn of ’11.
