Jason Lema — better known as DJ Lema — has a pretty simple philosophy: keep ‘em guessing… And it’s working for him. The Las Vegas DJ changes up his sets whenever the need arises. Reading crowds and creating parties, that’s what he does best, and that’s what he’s dedicated to.
Lema has residencies at Marquee Las Vegas, Lavo Las Vegas, and Tao Beach. Some of his specialty nights (and days) at these hotspots include party brunches and industry nights, plus all kinds of other hot, sweaty, sexy parties.
When it comes to dance parties, Lema shines. He has an unmatched ear — that he trained while growing up in Miami — for what tracks will get crowds moving on the dance floor. He has crates upon crates upon crates of music to choose from, crossing all club genres and cross-sections.
Want to know who’s a DJ Lema fan? Some of the celebrity clubgoers he’s entranced include Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, Jay Z, Kelis, T-Pain, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian, just to name a few. The list goes on and on and on.
Lema’s not just popular with his audiences, though. He’s gained a lot of respect and support from other well-respected DJs, as well. DJ Vice has said, “Lema’s knowledge of various genres gives him advantage over most DJs in the game…Keeping the crowd moving is a task he has mastered,”.
Playing large rooms is a tricky business. Crowds change from night to night and even from minute to minute. A successful DJ has to be completely in tune with that. Lema is more than in tune. He’s completely in sync. He draws inspiration, in his diverse sets, from the likes of Carl Cox, Erick Morillo, and Dubfire. He’s come so far, though, that he’s not only inspired by Morillo, but he actually shares a stage with him at Marquee.
