About Emo’sWhile the old Emo’s that originally opened in the 90s on Red River Street is dead and gone, many guests of the current Emo’s on East Riverside claim it’s a much better location for their beloved venue.
This dive bar is all about the punk / emo / indie rock music, and with a cleaner and bigger location, Emo’s can accommodate a bigger crowd more comfortably. It’s easy to see the bands on stage regardless of where you are on the floor. While the sound system is good, many past guests claim that it’s not great and could definitely use some improvement. However, they’re all about the history of Emo’s and the bands who play there.
Ticket prices typically range between $18 and $30 in this 18 and over venue. If you don’t have a government issue ID, you’re not getting in. Whether you’re legal or a minor, you’re given the appropriate wristband. While you can smoke outside on the patio, there’s no smoking indoors, and outside beverages are not allowed in. They have their own parking lot, but get there early if you want to grab a space before a show.
Check out the Emo’s events calendar for up-to-date information about what bands are playing when. Dress code is casual, come as you are.
