Aaron’s career is about as eclectic as they come. He rose to fame on the Seattle trance scene, which then saw him travel all over the United States to headline shows. As the popularity of drum and bass rose within America, so did Simpson’s interest in the genre. In 2003 he started producing drum and bass and enjoyed success within the new genre he was associating with. He went on to share lineups with d’n’b giants Andy C and Goldie.
Not content with the world DJing, Simpson stepped into the realms of production, releasing a track with Brian Abbey entitled ‘Never Far from Right’. Aaron even went on to establish his own label, in the form of Simplify Recordings. The label has output work by Roksonix, NumberNin6, Love & Light, and NTRLD.
Aaron Simpson has had an impressive, genre spanning career, culminating with him being the head honcho of a cutting edge EDM label. However, if Aaron’s ambition throughout the years has taught us anything, it will be that he is still not content with his success and will be looking to pioneer in the next new sound.
