Afrojack, Nick van der Wall, has earned numerous awards and accolades. Just two years after releasing his first single in 2008, he entered DJ Magazine’s list of the Top 100 DJs at No. 19, making him the highest new entry of the year. The following year he climbed to No. 7, dropping only slightly to No. 9 in 2012.
Over the course of his career, Afrojack’s songs have charted in 10 countries. He has contributed to and been featured on hit songs, such as “Run the World (Girls)” by Beyonce and Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything”, which reached No. 1 on the charts. Recently, Afrojack was recognized with the European Border Breakers Award, an honor received by musicians who achieve an outstanding level of cross-border touring and record sale circulation.
He is the only world famous DJ to buy a new Lamborghini, crash it the same day, then replace it with another the following day.
Currently Afrojack operates Wall Recordings, an imprint label that has signed other Dutch DJs such as R3hab, Mayaadh, and Sidney Samson.
