Marcio Alvarado is much better known by his stage name, Alvin Risk. He also plays under the name Telemetrik, and he’s a singer, DJ, and producer from Washington, D.C. His music has been released on Dim Mak, Ministry of Sound, OWSLA, and Memory LTD.
Risk’s talents and skills with his vocals, mixing, and production have garnered him a lot of attention and applause in the EDM world. He’s new to the music scene, but he’s blown up fast, after posting his first songs online. He’s gotten support from artists like Designer Drugs, Steve Aoki, and Skrillex, and he’s appeared on Pendulum’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix.
His catalog continues to grow as Risk continues to work. He seems to be always in the studio, always creating something new and different. He’s working on both original productions and remixes of other artists, like Matt & Kim, Jamaica, and Ali Love. He’s also doing a lot of collaborations with various artists, and he’s showing no signs or intentions of slowing down or letting up on the throttle.
Alvin Risk’s much anticipated “Two Strokes Raw” EP was released recently on Plant Music and was received with rave reviews. If Alvin has a goal, it seems to be to innovate and force evolution on electronic dance music as much and as quickly as possible. He’s ahead of the curve, and he’s urging the music, the industry, and audiences around the world to catch up with him, to see what’s over the next rise.
With the well-deserved backing he’s gotten for his projects so far, there’s no reason for Alvin Risk to stop creating new, interesting, and danceable music at an amazingly prolific rate.
