Born in the Caucasus of the USSR and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel, DJ and producer Astrix began his career in 1995 as an alternative musician before switching to EDM two years later. His first tracks “Eakhis World” and “In Peace” made a stir on the Israeli nitzhonot scene, and by 2002 he had released his debut album Eye to Eye, which quickly brought him worldwide attention. Soon Astrix was playing some of the biggest events in the world, such as Dance Valley, Creamfields, SW4, and Love Parades, and was performing at renowned venues such as Ministry of Sound and Pascha. Over the years, Astrix became known for his specialization in full-on psychedelic trance. In 2006, he hit No. 41 on DJ Magazine’s poll of the top 100 DJs, and by the next year his was up to No. 18.
