Ben UFO

England born DJ Ben Thomson—better known by his stage moniker Ben UFO—is one of the co founders of the renowned Hessle Audio, which has become known for its highly innovative production style. Before joining Hessle, Ben started his career spinning throughout the London and Leeds dubstep scenes, spending the mid 2000s deeply immersed in the DMZ and Sub Dub nights. Over the years his sound has developed significantly, and he is now known for his unique sound that embraces many aspects of EDM. While Ben is largely into old school music, he is also one of the scene’s lead tastemakers, having found up and coming talents such as Joy Orbison , Blawan, and many others. Using his bi-weekly radio show on RinseFM, he is able to provide a springboard for new musicians and spread the word about those who are already more established.
