Tyree Cinque Simmons (born April 22, 1978), professionally referred to as DJ Drama, is an American rap musician from Philadelphia, PA.
He was initially referred to as the genuine DJ for Grand Hustle recording musician T.I., and is most commonly known for having mix tapes, particularly his prosperous “Gangsta Grillz” show. He’s additionally famous for performing the Dedication collection with American rapper Lil Wayne, with the NY Times referring to Dedication 2, 1 of the “10 best recordings of 2006”.
DJ Drama as well as Don Cannon, DJ Sense launched Aphilliates Music Group in 2003. The Aphilliates Music Group closed a jv contract with Asylum Records in 2006. The next single “Never See You Again” features female vocalist Talia Coles and rapper Wale. The Gangsta Grillz record reunites DJ Drama and Don Cannon who had gone their different ways for some years after plenty of associates. The album came out at #42 in the Billboard 200 chart.
At the end of 2012, Quality Street Music was released by him as his 4th album. The record was preceded by the singles “We in This Bitch” and “My Second”. The album came out at number 15 to the Billboard 200 and at #3 in the Best R&B/Hip-Hop Records, selling 25K units during its very first week. Quality Street Music is DJ Drama’s greatest charting album to-date. By early 2013 it had already sold in excess of 50K units.
