Excision means “removal by cutting”. Jeff Abel, better known as Excision obviously wanted a name that immediately brings to mind a graphic mangled image. A dubstep DJ from British Columbia Canada; Excision broke into the scene in 2004 and has been not only DJing but producing and collaborating with other producers as well.
Excision is known for filthy and brutal beats that immediately grab the crowd. A virtual apocalypse of twisting and morphing sounds brings his audience into sensory overload. Excision is a noted powerhouse in the BASS community but definitely blends a mix of several genres to bring his audience exactly where he wants them to be.
Excision has his own label, Rottun Recordings but has worked with several other labels such as EX7, Mau5trap, and Destroid Music He continues to rally allies and grow as a warrior in the BASS world.
