Born on January 15, 1989, Joshua Steele, known as Flux Pavilion professionally, is an English dubstep DJ and producer who first burst onto the scene in 2008.
However, before becoming a household name in his genre, a young Joshua Steele first sat in front of a key board at six years of age and began to cultivate his dream of creating sounds that he enjoys to perform for folks who enjoy it as much as he does. This dream followed him into his teens, and eventually led to the birth of DJ Flux Pavilion.
With his childhood dream in the front of his mind and a natural ability to both sing and produce music, Flux set out to develop his how brand of dubstep.
Not surprisingly, once the DJ Flux Pavilion brand of dubstep was finished, multiple record jumped into the forum to become the very first to launch his new sound to the world. Flux Pavilion obliged by signing music to Stupid Fly, Rottun, Dubmented Beats, Shift & XS Records and working alongside artists like Trolley Snatcha and Datsik. His sounds quickly filled the music charts and started to receive serious attention from the industry heavyweights.
As DJ Flux Pavilion’s popularity grew in breadth and he and his friend from childhood Doctor P joined forces with renowned DJ, drum and bass pioneer DJ Swan-e & Earl Falconer from UB40 to form the notorious Circus Records.
Circus Records provided DJ Flux with the stage that he needed. He quickly started to embed music with his unique brand and was rapidly becoming a valuable asset within the Circus Records group. His song ‘Voscillate’ showcased his own musical vocals and was awarded ‘Track of the Week’ on Rusko’s Radio One Takeover. Furthermore, his song ‘I Can’t Stop’ was dubbed ‘World record of the week’ from Radio 1’s Zane Lowe.
Today, DJ Flux Pavilion’s popularity has propelled his high energy performance all over the planet and there are no signs that he has any plans of letting up anytime soon.
