Francesco Tristano is one of the most interesting characters active within the spectrum of electronic music today. He has compelled audience around the world with his take on techno, which sees it spliced together with classical. His trio, Aufgang, began to play techno as if it were sheet music, which was well received. The piano virtuoso, who has played with prestigious classical acts such as the Russian National Orchestra, the French National Orchestra of Lille and the Philharmonie Luxembourg, went on to realize the full potential of this idea, resulting in a number of collaborations with Techno mastermind Carl Cox. The most celebrated of these performances being in Space, Ibiza, where the audience were met with Tristano playing live grand piano, over the top of Cox controlling sequencing software.
To date Francesco Tristano has 5 solo albums and has featured on a CD production of Bach concertos.
