Called one of his favorite DJs by Paul Van Dyk, DJ Francis Davila is undeniably the most popular electronic dance musician in Guatemala. Upon its release, his album Shine broke the country’s sales records, and it delivered the most No. 1 radio hits out of any other Guatemalan musician.
Since gaining worldwide recognition, Davila has shared the stage with high-profile DJs like Armin Van Buuren, Tiestö , David Guetta, and Paul Van Dyk. He has released tracks and records through a number of prominent international labels, such as Vandit, Vapours, Seductive, and Molocacho.
In 2010, the Spanish radio station Los 40 Principales nominated him Best Artist in Guatemala. The next year, he entered DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs Poll at No. 77 before moving up to No. 63 the following year.
