Yet another DJ of Dutch heritage, Robbert van de Corput—a.k.a. Hardwell—realized that he wanted to be a DJ after seeing the massive parties televised by MTV. His career took off in 2009 with the bootleg hit “Show Me Your Love vs. Be”, which he followed by producing a number of electronic dance music hits such as “Cobra” and “Encoded”.
It wasn’t long before Hardwell caught the ear of Tiestö , which resulted in a number of collaborations and tours. One year after breaking onto the scene, he launched his own label called Revealed Recordings.
In 2011, Hardwell ranked No. 24 on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJ list. The next year, he had climbed to No. 6. Recently, and just recently he took the #1 spot. It’s easy to say Hardwell is on a meteoric rise, but where do you go from #1? Who knows, but we’re excited to see what he’ll do next.
