Dutch hardstyle DJ Headhunterz entered his career in a very different realm from dance music. As a child, he sang in children’s choir that released a number of albums. Shortly after that he went into voice acting, which he has continued ever since. It was not until several years later, while DJing at the massive Defqon 1 Festival in the Netherlands where he caught the attention of DJ and producer the Prophet, that his career in hardstyle and dubstep was solidified.
Since then, Headhunterz has gone on to produce a number of yearly anthems for the Defqon 1 Festivals. In 2008, he released a collaboration with Wildstylez called Project One, garnering a high level of praise and resulting in an extensive tour. In 2010, Headhunterz entered DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs at No. 36. This signaled the first year that any hardstyle DJ had made the list. The next year, he was up to No. 17. Then in 2012, he climbed to No. 11.
In 2013, he was picked up by Ultra Music, one of the foremost dance music labels. At the same time, he started his own label, Hard with Style Records.
