James Zabiela

Southampton born DJ and producer James Zabiela is primarily known for this high unique blend of breakbeat and house music, while these days he for the most part works as a tech house DJ. A renowned turntablist, he is highly regarded for his energetic sets featuring a wide array of effects and loops. He first broke into fame in 2000 when he won Muzik Magazine’s Best Bedroom Bedlam DJ competition, which quickly garnered him a signing on the renowned DJ Sasha’s label, Excession. Over the course of his career, Zabiela has played a key role in testing many of Pioneer Electronics’ new equipment lines. In addition to his originals recordings and turntable skills, he is widely known as a talented remixer, and has produced remixes for artists such as Radiohead, Sasha, and Ladytron.
