Since launching his career in the late nineties, British DJ John Digweed has become known for his lengthy sets that can span anywhere from eight to twelve hours. Much of his work has been performed in conjunction with longtime friend DJ Sasha, and they have performed extensively together throughout Europe and North America. Since 2000, Digweed has been the host of the two hour radio show Transitions, which was originally aired on the UK’s Kiss 100 but is now available online. Digweed has also been active in the film industry, having contributed soundtracks to a number of movies and DJing as himself in the 2000 film Groove, which provides an in-depth portrayal of the San Francisco EDM scene.
Over the course of his career, Digweed has ranked among DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs nearly every year, remaining in the top ten from 1998 until 2008, and garnering the No. 1 position in 2001.
