After releasing his first album in 2007, Something to Live For, Irish DJ John O’Callaghan enjoyed a rapid rise to recognition. In the same year of the album’s release, Armin Van Buuren’s radio show A State of Trance voted a remix of his vocal trance production of a Agnelli & Nelson song Tune of the Year. The following year, O’Callaghan entered DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs Poll at No. 60, then climbed to No. 24 by the next. In 2008 he also garnered an outstanding level of acclaim at the Irish Dance Music Awards, receiving Best Producer and Best DJ. In the same year, he performed at Trance Energy, making him the first Irishman ever to do so.
As the years have gone by, O’Callaghan has consistently received the support of some of the biggest names in EDM, including Armin Van Buuren, Gareth Emery, Matt Hardwick, and Judge Jules.
