German-born and now Miami-based trance DJ Markus Schulz is most widely known for his weekly radio show Global DJ Broadcast, which airs on a number of the most prominent online radio stations. He is also known for his prolific remix work, which has involved producing for artists such as Madonna, Depeche Mode, Jewel, Everything but the Girl, Gabriel & Dresden, Miro, Fat Boy Slim, and numerous others. Schulz’ remixes of Jewel’s songs “Intuition” and “Stand” both hit No. 1 on the Billboard club chart.
Outside the studio, Schulz regularly participates in international tours and has performed at many of the world’s largest festivals. As the founder of Schulz Music Group and Coldbarbour Recordings, he works with such up-and-coming names as Mr. Pit, KhoMha, Adina Butar, and Grube & Hovsepian. He also owns a club in Gulfstream Village, Florida, called Fate.
In 2010, DJ Magazine ranked Schulz No. 8 in their Top 100 DJs Poll, and in 2012 he was at No. 13. That same year, DJ Times named him America’s Number One DJ.
