Richard West, born on January 2, 1968 in London, England is just a British DJ, recording artist, performer and rap artist, who goes by the name Mr. C. He is regarded as the foremost advocate of Tech House, which is essentially a mix of house and techno-music, and has been attributed with developing with the Tech House style.
Mr. C began performing as an MC in London clubs at just 16 years old. Shortly after he gained an identity as a fast-talking, lively rap artist working together with Ron Tom of LWR Radio, Jazzy M. and Jasper the Vinyl Junkie, Mr. C then connected with Evil Eddie Richards and Colin Faver to become resident rap artist in Camden Palace and moving become Colin Faver’s MC to the then prohibited Kiss-FM.
Nevertheless, Mr. C made his way to the studio capture his initial house song alongside Myster-E and Eddie Richards, which premiered in August 1987. This experience motivated Mr. C to eventually become a DJ. To gain more information about his beloved House & Techno music, Mr. C started spinning in late 1987.
Additionally, Mr. C has since arranged, marketed and been resident DJ at: Dream (1988), Base (Dungeons 1989), Release (1991), Harmony (1992), Fall (1993), Cyclone (1994), Vapourspace (1994 & 1995), Flavour (The End 1995 & 1996), Subterrain (The End 1995 2002), Superfreq (Worldwide 2002present) & Super Disco Freq (LA 2010-present).
In December of 1995, Mr. C opened up the infamous London night-club “The End” with business associate Layo Paskin. Three years later, they opened the “AKA Bar”, which commemorated its 13th birthday in December of 2008. Unfortunately both The End and AKA Bar shut their doors for the last time on January 24th 2009.
Furthermore, Mr. C is owner of a label called Plink Plonk Records and is also the co-founder of Conclusion Recordings & co-founder & possessor of the Superfreq label and frequently holds Superfreq parties. In fact, Superfreq observed its 11th year in March 2013, having run every month at Mr. C’s club The End up until it shut down back in early 2009.
The Superfreq label now owns two residencies in London. The 1st occurs eight times annually in the luxurious members club Paramount, to the top-floor of Centre Level, and next is actually a bi-annual residency in the Cloth. Superfreq also does routine occasions in a variety of places in L.A. and Calais, together with holding down a regular residency at the Southampton Junk Club. In addition, it has new quarterlies starting at Tree-house in La & Miami Santanera in Playa Del Carmen in 2013, plus biannual residency beginning in Brooklyn, New York.

The Superfreq label has achieved 7 effective seasons in Ibiza: 3 at Club Underground, 2 at Dc-10, one-season at Blu, and 3 functions at Aura.
