Over the course of a relatively short time, Dutch house music DJ and producer Nicky Romero has become one of the hottest names in the scene, working alongside and receiving the praise of EDM leaders such as Tiestö , David Guetta, Avicii, Calvin Harris, Hardwell, and Sander van Doorn.
Born, Nick Rotteveel on January 6th 1989 in the small city of Amerongen, Holland.
Romero first broke onto the scene with the release of “Toulouse” in 2012, which appeared on the Beatport Top Ten for several weeks. Shortly after that, MTV recognized him as one of the year’s EDM Artists to Watch. That summer, he was invited to perform a joint residency with David Guetta at the party island of Ibiza. Later that year, Romero ranked No. 17 on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs Poll. This made him one of the highest new entries in the poll’s history, along with Dash Berlin and Skrillex. In 2013, Romero released a number of tracks that debuted as No. 1 on UK charts.
