Paul Phusion knows exactly what to drop and when to completely win a crowd over, just watch any video on his website and you’ll note the intimidating mass of dancers eagerly participating in his show. This is no surprise considering how his career started out with spinning at various parties across Germany; the intimate setting has clearly shaped his skill as a DJ – focusing entirely on the party of it.
After being given an opportunity by his friend Tom Benscher, Phusion started playing ‘die bar’ regularly and was eventually picked up by ‘myfriday’; a club at which he was eventually offered residence. The confidence and practice Paul got in his 20’s eventually led to his success as a DJ at some of Germany’s biggest nightclubs, namely ‘Hundertquadrat’ or ‘Nachtausgabe’.
Paul makes a point of collaborating with his peers as he often plays with various acts in his region, such as; Azzido da Bass, Tommy Serano and Tanja la Croix. His versatile and fun-oriented style of DJing makes him a potent partner on the floor and a great guy to work with. Some of his own influences are Daft Punk, Paul Van Dyk, George Morel and Deep Dish.
Phusion’s biggest set yet was at Citydome Rosenhein, bringing in the New Year 2007 to nearly 2,000 guests.
