Rudimental is a UK-based electronic music group comprised of 4 members, making mostly drum & bass sounds. The quartet is signed to the independent music label “Black Butter” as well as Asylum Records. The members of the group are producers and songwriters DJ Locksmith (Leon Rolle), Amir Amor (Amir Izadkhah), Kesi Dryden and Piers Agget.
The quartet elevated to popularity in 2012 once their track “Feel the Love”, showcasing vocalist John Newman, lead the United Kingdom Singles Chart. The musicians have launched additional singles ever since, which include “Not Giving In” (featuring John Newman and Alex Clare) in addition to 2013 track “Waiting All Night” (presenting Ella Eyre) that also lead the music charts in the United Kingdom.
Back in March of 2011 they unveiled their premier track “Deep in the Valley” showcasing MC Shantie.
In June of 2011 they introduced “Speeding” showcasing Adiyam.
On February 20th of 2012, Rudimental introduced “Spoons” presenting Syron and MNEK as the very first track from their very first studio album. It didn’t chart, but got airplay on numerous key radio stations.
Nevertheless, on May 14th of 2012, they introduced “Feel the Love”, presenting vocals by John Newman, as the record’s premier song. The track moved into the United Kingdom Singles Chart at # 1, which makes it their 1st # 1 track in the United Kingdom. Moreover, the track proved to be top five smash in Belgium, Holland, New Zealand and Australia. Furthermore it charted in Ireland, Germany, Denmark and Austria.
On November 18th of 2012, they unveiled the record’s 2nd single “Not Giving In”, presenting vocals by Alex Clare and John Newman. It came out and actually peaked at #14 in the United Kingdom Singles Chart.
“Hell Could Freeze”, showcasing singing by Angel Haze, was launched on January 14th of 2013 for a promo download free. “Waiting All Night”, presenting Ella Eyre, premiered as the 3rd track from the record in 2013, getting all the way to #1 on the United Kingdom Singles Chart on April 21st of 2013.
A couple of weeks later, “Home” came out at # 1 to the United Kingdom Albums Chart. On October 19th of 2013, while at the 2013 MOBO Awards in Glasgow, Rudimental obtained the ‘Best Album Award’ for their premier recording entitled “Home”.
