DJ Tocadisco – née Roman Böer – was born June 9, 1974 in Berlin, Germany. He takes his DJ name from the Spanish word for “turntable”, and he’s been spinning, mixing, and remixing on an international level for over fifteen years.
Tocadisco’s career began in UNIQUE Club in Düsseldorf. While he was resident DJ there, UNIQUE was voted “Best Club of the City” over and over again in PRINZ magazine. His breakout success at UNIQUE lead him to move from his then home in Cologne, Germany to start his own recording studio.
Over the years, he’s remixed huge stars like Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Moby, Tiga, Laidback Luke, and Steve Aoki. He’s also produced for David Guetta and Fischerspooner. Toca released his first solo artist album – “Solo” – in 2008, winning Best Dance International at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
Toca continues to release albums and tracks of his own and others on his imprint TOCA45. He’s dedicated to promoting, supporting, and playing the best, freshest dance club tracks available. He spreads the love through his imprint and through the Tocacabana Radio Show, which gets worldwide syndication in different time slots on different radio stations.
Until 2011, Toca was still releasing work through German record label Superstar Recordings. Since that contract ended, he’s shifted to releasing his work almost exclusively on his own label.
Toca’s wide range of style and flavor ranges from house to trance and techno. His beats get bodies moving, and he’s dedicated to continue touring and playing shows live and on the radio to get his music to ears and dance floors all over the world. When he’s not on tour, he’s in the studio. The man never rests, and he does it all so that you can groove to the music.
