Operating under the beer-inspired motto “Get Wasted N’ Do It”, the Wasted Penguinz began when Swedish producers Pontus Bergman and Jon Brandt-Cederhall met through an online forum, originally considering one another enemies. After several years of online contact, the two agreed to meet up to try and produce something together.
After producing two successful releases under the Label Bazz Implants, Wasted Penguinz signed onto the renowned label Scantraxx in 2010. The duo’s initial releases at their new label—”I’m Free”, “Anxiety”, “Hate Mondayz”, and “Resistance”—all made it onto the Fear.fm Hardstyle Top 100 of 2010, with “Resistance” attaining the highest position at No. 11. Fear.fm also recognized Wasted Penguinz with the Best New Face award.
The following year the duo released a number of singles and performed at three of the largest events in the Netherlands. In 2012, it was announced that Wasted Penguins were no longer on Scantraxx.
