The BPM Festival has been up and running since 2008 in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and is one of the few festivals to run during the winter months. It was started by Craig Pettigrew and Philip Pulitano and has been going strong ever since.
This year, the festival ran from January 3rd to 12th, 2014, and included a ridiculous amount of artists such as Boris, Victor Calderone, John Digweed, Pleasurekraft, Timo Maas, Sasha, Richie Hawtin, and Pete Tong. You could go to the festival having a lukewarm appreciation for EDM, and considering the amount of talent to hit the stages, leave with an obsession.
BPM parties go day and night, and are attended not only by DJs, but also by producers, celebrities, industry professionals, and of course, those who just love EDM.
Rather than get standard tickets, many opt for VIP wristbands – either 3-day, 7-day, or 10-day – as it includes priority admission as well as discounts to many shops, hotels, and activities in the area.
