Often referred to as “The Woodstock of Dance”, Dance Valley is held in the Netherlands every summer. It was first held in 1994 and had a sparse turnout of just 8,000 people, but in its current incarnation tens and tens of thousands of people come out. In 2005 they increased the duration to a three day weekend event, and camping was added.
There have been other significant changes to the festival over the years, as the promoters strive to give the people what they want, including competitions of BMX, skateboarding, and motorcycling, which adds a thrill to the weekend that many appreciate.
Some of these changes were appreciated, and some weren’t, but in the last few years the promoters have swung back to the roots of Dance Valley, must to the appreciation of clubbers. This year it’s a one-day event on August 2nd and will celebrate the incredible 20th anniversary of this event. Confirmed acts include Audi, Cristian Varela, Ophidian Live, The Bloody Beetroots Live, Chair Reaction, Dyna Ft Gio, and many more!
