The Governor’s Ball is an annual festival held on Randall’s Island in New York City. With the skyline of Manhattan as a backdrop for live music performances and epic parties, the Gov Ball is sure to please the senses. Three days in June every year will host some of the biggest names in music, ranging genres from EDM to hip-hop to alternative rock. The festival features a silent disco, where party-goers can dance the night away with headphones on. The headphones channel the music of the live DJ, and no sound is amplified outside of the headphone speakers, giving the illusion to any outsiders that a room full of people is dancing in silence. The website warns to be prepared for mud in the drizzly spring/early summer in New York.
