Brazil plays host to Lollapalooza on April 5th to April 6th and it promises to be an exceptional time for fans of alternative, rock, and hip hop. Originally a festival that only toured the U.S., Lollapalooza has been taking the act on the road for many years now, and sellout crowds of more than 100,000 have been on hand to rock out to the best international artists.
This year brings the return of many bands who’ve long been a part of Lolla for years, as well as acts who’ll be taking the Lolla stage for the first time. Headliners include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden, Kid Cudi, Vampre Weekend, and Imagine Dragons.
Tickets went on sale early, and those who definitely want to go should definitely buy their tickets, as last year’s event sold out. Much to the surprise of many, some of the largest crowds weren’t for the touring headliners, but were for the local bands who played at stages throughout the park. The festival organizers place a great importance on showcasing the best of Brazil, and it shows.
