The Voodoo Experience is a music and arts festival held yearly in New Orleans, Louisiana. The lineup features an eclectic mix of genres spanning electronic to hard rock. Multiple stages and art installations scatter the City Park where the event is held. The “voodoo” theme is apparent even in the jargon used to describe aspects of the festival. The “experience grounds” are where the festival actually takes place, and the campsites are referred to as “worship grounds.”
The three-day festival takes place rain or shine during the first weekend of November. Camping is available for festival-goers over the age of 18, as well as hotel accommodations nearby for all-ages. Lockers are available for rent on-site. Passes are referred to as “credentials” and come in the form of wristbands. Food, arts, and craft vendors are present on-site.
