Wakarusa Music Festival takes places in the Ozarks in Arkansas and provides a one-with-nature type of feel. From 2004 to 2008, Wakarusa was held in Lawrence, Kansas and then relocated to it’s current spot in the Ozark Mountains. Campsites are available and strict scheduling for setting up camp for the weekend is enforced. Different passes with different check-in times are outlined when passes are purchased. General Admission as well as VIP passes are available. No pets (with the exception of licensed therapy dogs) are allowed in the festival or at the campsites. Sealed water bottles are okay to bring into the festival. Wakarusa prides itself on promoting sustainability by encouraging festival-goers to use reusable and recyclable products and discouraging litter while at the festival. Caution to those with certain cell phone providers, T-Mobile service is non-existent at the festival grounds.
