1+5 is our remix edition. We dig when a good tune is taken, flipped, tweaked, and turned into something new, something different. So every so often, we’re going to highlight a track (1) and give you (+) the best of the remixes (5) we can find.
First up? Chris Malinchak’s “So Good To Me”. We wouldn’t say its been an obsession, but if you could wear a digital file out, this one would be ruined. Something about it, the perfect simplicity, the beachside-in-Miami-at-sunset-cocktail-in-hand feeling…whatever it is, Malinchak flips Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s “If This World Were Mine” into the perfect summertime jam.
So we dug around and found some interesting remixes. There’s some house, some trance, a little D’n’B, and and some other stuff.
If you want more, you can find the So Good To Me Remix playlist on my SoundCloud page. There are a few dozen of them so far, and there are plenty of good ones that didn’t make the top five.
