Joel Thomas Zimmerman better known as Deadmau5 is a Canadian based DJ and Electronic dance music producer.
He started his music career with his debut studio album “Get Scraped” released in 2005, featuring sixteen soundtracks including; “8 bit”, “Bored Of Canada”, “Careless”, “Intelslat”, “Flash TV”, “Try Again”, “Edit your friends”, “I Forget”, “Message From Nowhere”, “Over draft”, “Satisfaction”, “Sometimes I fail”, “Support”, “The Oshawa Connection” , “Unspecial Effects” and “Waking Up from the American Dream”.
“Vexillology” was the second album released by Deadmau5 in 2006 that focused on progressive house music. The album featured 10 songs, including; “1981”, “Bounce”, “Dr Funkenstein”, “Fustercluck”, “Lai”, “Orca”, “Plus”, “Apply overnight”, “TL7”, and “Trepid”.
“Random Album Title” was the third studio album released by Deadmau5 in 2008 that proved to be his breakthrough album. The album features twelve soundtracks including; “Sometimes Things Get, Whatever”, “Complications”, “Slip”, “Some kind of blue”, “Brazil”, “Alone with you”, “I remember”, “Faxing Berlin”, “Not exactly”, “Arguru”, and “So there I was”. Two versions of this album were released in the US and Canada under the title, Mixed (UL1868) and Unmixed (UL1905).
“For Lack of a Better Name” was the fourth studio album and the second mainstream album released by Deadmau5 in 2009. The album features more diverse tones and focuses on progressive house music. The album features ten soundtracks including; “FML”, “Moar Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff” , “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff”, “Hi Friend!” featuring MC Flipside, “Bot”, “Word problems”, “Soma”, “Lack of a better name”, “The 16th hour” and “Strobe”. An unmixed version was released later in the same year under the title “For lack of a better name-the extended version”. One song from this album, “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff” was featured on a promo for the Canadian version of the dance show, “So You Think You Can Dance”.
“4*4=12” was the fifth studio album and the third mainstream album released in 2010 by Deadmau5. The album received much appreciation from the music critics and also became Deadmau5’s first commercially successful album that managed to chart on the “Billboard top 200”. The album features eleven songs including; “Some Chords”, “Sofi needs a Ladder”, “A city in Florida”, “Bad Selection”, “Animal Rights”, “I Said” (Michael Wood remix), “Cthulhu Sleeps”, “Right This Second”, “Raise your Weapon” featuring Greta Svabo Bech, “One trick Pony” feat Sofi, and “Everything Before”.
“Album Title Goes Here” is the sixth studio album released by Deadmau5 in 2012 that focuses on electronic rock and Progressive house music. Overall this album received positive reviews from critics. Thirteen songs are featured in this album including; “Superliminal”, “Chanel 42”, “The Veldt feat Chris James, “Fn Pig”, “Professional Griefers” feat Gerard Way, “Maths”, “There might be Coffee”, “Take care of the proper paperwork”, “Closer”, “October”, “Sleepless”, “Failbait” feat Cypress Hill, and “Telemiscommunications”.
