“Mirage has been the biggest project I’ve ever worked on. There’s so many hours in this. Work started two years ago when I actually built a completely new studio for this project. Formerly released in the year 2010, Mirage was re-released in November 2011, in a deluxe edition. This deluxe edition of the album includes three discs featuring songs from the original album, bonus tracks and some remixes of the tracks that were not released previously and a DVD featuring all the music videos.
The first CD includes sixteen songs from the original Mirage album. The CD opens with “Desiderium 207” feat. Susana. The title track of the album “Mirage” is the next track of the CD that mesmerizes its listeners. The next track “This light between us” feat Christian Burns was released in 2011 as a single and received much appreciation. “Not giving up on you feat. Sophie Ellis- Bextor” is the next feet tapping track of the album. Other tracks of the album features collaboration with some well-known artists like, “Feels so good” feat. Nadia Ali, “Drowning” feat Laura V, “Take a moment” feat. Winter Kills, “Down To Love” feat Ana Criado, “These Silent Hearts” feat the famous Electronic Dance music legend BT, and “Minack” feat Ferry Corsten. CD one concludes with “Youtopia” feat Adam Young.
The second CD of the deluxe edition includes six bonus tracks, including one Acoustic mix of the original album’s track “Virtual friend” feat Sophie. Other tracks on this CD include “Breathe in Deep” feat Fiora, “Take Me Where I Wanna Go” feat VanVelzen”, “I Surrender” feat Cathy Burton”, “Love Too Hard” feat Jessie Morgan, “Neon Hero” feat Bagga Bownz and Christian Burns. Since the release of these tracks, five tracks from the Bonus tracks of Mirage were included on iTunes.
Mirage Deluxe edition also includes a third CD featuring remixes. Some of these remixes are from the Mirage album, while others are classic remixes of traditional trance anthems. Opening with an inspiring Leon Bolier Peaktime Remix “Desiderium 207” feat Susana, the third disc is sure to captivate you. Other tracks on this CD include a Dennis Sheperd Remix “Mirage”, and Michael Woods Remix “Youtopia” feat. Adam Young. This CD features some new remixes as well including, “Full Focus” with a Chris Schweizer Mix, The Blizzard Remix “Breathe In Deep” feat Fiora, Mike Shivers Garden State Mix- “Who’s Watching” feat Nadia Ali, Maor Levi Remix- “Rain” feat Cathy Burton, Sebastian Brandt Remix- “Touch me” feat Rising star, and Orjan Nilsen Remix- “Blue fear”. The CD closes with an Armin van Buuren Rework- “Use somebody”.
The DVD is the main attraction of the Mirage Deluxe Edition. It features some of the most exclusive and entertaining videos by Armin Van Buuren. The music videos featured in this CD include Full focus, “Not giving up on love”- a Dash Berlin 4AM mix, “This light between us”, “Drowning”, “Feels so good” and “Gaia-Status Excessu D”.
