Federico Scavo isn’t a household name. At least not to the majority of American clubbers. But the Italian DJ/producer has been in the game since 1994 when he dropped “This is the Night,” a track that reached international audiences—including platinum status in Canada with over 400,000 sales. Or perhaps you’ve heard his version of “Another Brick in the Wall,” which was officially approved by Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters. Then there’s Scavo’s remix work for Bob Sinclar, an astonishing 3,000,000 views on YouTube.com for Scavo’s track “Strump,” his Area94 record label and major support from artists such as Tiësto, Erick Morillo, Kaskade and more for his Toolroom release “I Do.”
So what got our attention to share Scavo with you now? Thank Steve Angello’s underground record label X that’s establishing itself as a go-to source for some fantastic tech house tunes. Scavo’s “The One” will be released January 31 on X, a track with wicked vocals and dark layers of alternating blips. And when the groove kicks in? It’ll drive you to the dancefloor—probably when your favorite major headliner adds it to their set. Check out the teaser below!
