About AssemblyEstablished in 2013, Assembly is a 9,000 square foot concert venue located in the heart of the Kay District of downtown Sacramento.
The venue features local and national acts of all genres ranging from rap to rock and everything in between. Assembly is set on two levels and accommodates 500 general admission patrons and 240 seated. There are nine bottles reserved for VIP table service, four bartender stations, tiered seating, and a large open floor on the main level.
While past guests compliment the quality of the acts who play there, they’re not so thrilled with seating as several reported issues with it even after purchasing tickets in advance. There are tables in the front, which some state interfered a bit with the show, especially when people got up to get drinks. There are those who also aren’t pleased that there’s a cost for water.
Assembly doesn’t have a coat check, there’s no happy hour, and smoking is allowed only outdoors. Come dressed casual, but neat.
Start times for the shows vary, but most start between 6pm and 8pm and have a small cover charge of $15 or under. Assembly is open Thursday through Sunday until 2am with the occasional Tuesday or Wednesday show.
