About Bar StandardBar Standard is anything but. The large nightclub features art deco design and a musical line up that plays everything from live music to DJs, anything that gets people to dance a lot.
Their house DJ, Rockstar Aaron, spins all kinds of dance music regularly, jumping from top 40 to popular EDM music and some of his own mashups. They also regularly host guest DJs as well. While generally only being open on the weekends slows their concert potential some, Bar Standard does occasionally open on the week to host guest DJs from around the world.
Towards the back of the club is the DJ booth, which looks out over the entire dance floor. Behind the booth is also a flat screen, which adds elements to the performance, along with the lasers and lights you would expect. The sound system also makes sure you hear the music whether you’re at the bar or on one of the two patios.
During the summer, Bar Standard has become known for their rooftop patio parties, where you can get a great view of the city and a cold drink to help cool you down.
If you like a different vibe, but still want to dance to electronic and EDM music, this is a great spot for you.
