About CommonwealthLocated in downtown Las Vegas’ Fremont district is an awesome blend of cocktail lounge, pub, and speakeasy known as Commonwealth. The décor is set to match the name and features a pre-Prohibition era design.
The Commonwealth is 2 stories. The main bar has a great swanky pub feel and is accentuated with various pieces of random art on brick walls. Crystal chandeliers designed to look like they are holding candlelight hang throughout. The main bar has an old time era design complete with a sculptures on the back wall and brass fixtures. Throughout the pub are various tables with leather barstools and in different areas small cocktail tables with various Victorian chairs in groupings. There is even an old time piano that is against one of the staircases.
Speaking of the stairs make sure you use them to take a trip to the amazing rooftop patio complete with its own bar, café tables, and faux street lamps; this patio takes you back in time and really gives you the feel of a 1930s pub. Around the outer areas of the rooftop are comfortable couches with low coffee tables where you and your friends can relax and enjoy the view of the old Las Vegas Strip.
Commonwealth is a great spot to hit up in downtown Vegas, chill, relax and mingle with the locals.
