About Palladium BallroomThe Palladium Ballroom has a knack for booking an impressive selection of metal, indie, rap and folk acts. Yes, the sound may at times be spotty and the parking expensive, however the past few years have introduced Palladium functions which range from Wilco to Tom Waits to Modest Mouse to Motorhead.
The chances are that you will end up at The Palladium at some point in your life, if you are an indie music fan so what you are reading right now is indeed relevant to you. However, if you are sitting on the fence about giving the Palladium a chance all that I can say is that if it enough for Erykah Badu’s album launch party, it really is good enough for anybody.
What to Expect:
Past guests will tell you that the Palladium Ballroom is moderately priced, great for dancing and really loud.
Tickets have always been reasonably priced and are sometimes downright cheap. Moreover, the room is big enough that should an event “sell out” there is still plenty of space. In fact, for bigger shows they open a third or fourth bar to shorten the lines. That being said, the concerts which take place here are for the most part general admission, so if you want a good vantage point, make sure that you get here early.
Finally, while there is a private parking lot available to the Palladium audience, if you want to save some money just east on Lamar from the venue for a good chance at free or economical metered parking.
