About Plastic PeoplePlastic People subscribes to the old adage that all you need for a kicking party is a dark basement and a soundsystem (the Funktion One rig embarrasses those in many larger clubs). Despite recent competition from the likes of East Village, Plastic People is still many clubbers’ favourite East End dancing den. This is due largely to the seriously progressive musical programming which features a range of nights covering all bases from underground techno at Lost presents Spacebase to dubstep and grime at Sunday’s pioneering night FWD>>. There’s also CDR (second Thursday of the month) where bedroom producers play their music-in-progress, and deep house collective Warm (third Friday of the month) host sessions by the likes of Ame, Dixon, Will Saul and Horse Meat Disco.
