About The CrocodileSince 1991, music fans far and wide have recognized the Crocodile as a top notch Seattle music venues in the Belltown neighborhood. Some of the bands which have played within the jaws of the Crocodile are Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Inexpensive Trick, R.E.M., Mudhoney, and Yoko Ono.
The Crocodile consistently hosts a huge variety of up & coming local, national & international talent in various genres ranging from Rap, Rock, Electronic, Folk, Singer / Song Writers, Punk, Metal and Avant Garde.
They have been honored to host Ben Gibbard, Macklemore, Wolves in the Throneroom, Zola Jesus, Thee Silver Mt Zion, YACHT, Thee Oh Sees, Neon Indian, Explosions in the Sky, Grynch, Allen Stone, Wye Oak, The Lonely Forest, Intelligence, Meat Puppets, The Melvins, Doomtree, The Top and the Center, Cults, Joy Formidable, Pains to Be Pure in Mind, Loch Lomond, Tune Yards, Starfucker, Fresh Espresso, Bear in Heaven, Thee Satisfaction, Nada Surf, Hieroglyphics, Kulture Shock, Wovenhand and so a lot more unbelievable artists.
What to Expect:
The Crocodile is a moderately priced venue with a Hipster/Casual ambiance. Past guests say that this is a great place to dance and listen to live music. These same folks have also said that the decibel level is really high, so try not to stand directly in front of the speakers.
The best nights to hit The Crocodile are Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Just be aware of the fact that the only parking available is on the street so if you get there a little bit later, you may have to drive around a little bit to find a parking spot.
