About The PageantThe Pageant is St. Louis’s ideal midsize venue. There’s plenty of space for sitting and standing, plenty of stage room, and tons of lighting options. From theatrical bands with lights ablaze to chill, mellow acoustic acts without the fanfare, you can see virtually any type of musician at this top spot.
One night you may be treated to a national touring act that ranges from pop to indie, the next night a hip-hop or jazz artist may take the stage, and another night a DJ could keep a dance party going all night long. Located on the East Loop strip, this venue has been open since 2000 and pleasing patrons ever since.
A unique aspect of The Pageant is their commitment to being energy efficient. This is primarily accomplished via the solar panels installed on the roof, though the day scientists discover a way to harness the power and energy of 100s of St. Louis dancers, The Pageant could power the entire city.
The capacity ranges from 1,000 to 2,300, depending on the type of act playing. There are both 18+ and 21+ areas inside, and the bouncers are strict about keeping those areas separated – and keeping Sharpies, markers, and glow sticks out of the venue.
