About Theatre of Living ArtsIntroduction
Located in the Queen Village of Philadelphia, the Theater of the Living Arts, fondly known as The TLA, was a movie house in its early years, showing weekly midnight screenings and art house films of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Since that time, it has grown into a Philadelphia small concert venue, welcoming up and coming artists from all genres to rock the 1,000 concert goers it can hold within its walls.
After 21 years in business, you may still catch a show on practically any night of the week. Just walk yourself up to their box office and join up with the party.
What to Expect
TLA has two different levels, both with bars. The first floor has a bar in the left side and also the upstairs bar is found behind the seated balcony area. You NEED TO be 21 to enter either of these regions and certainly will obtain a hand stamp upon entrance.
Past guests have indicated that a night out at the Theatre of the Living Arts falls in the moderate price range and have dubbed the ambiance as Hipster/Casual while indicating that TLC is very loud and great for dancing.
The favorite nights for partygoers to head out to TLA are Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
