Swedish producer and DJ Avicii(Tim Berg) began working with production and remixing at the age of 17, and after being convinced by friends to post his tracks to a number of music blogs, he suddenly found himself a massive following and an invitation by the world renowned producer Tiestö to hold a residency at Privilege Ibiza.
Avicii’s career really took off in 2010 when his track “See Bromance” began appearing among the top 20 on charts all over Europe. Late that year he was signed to EMI, one of the largest companies in the music business. At that point, he had only been producing music for four years. The following year, Avicii collaborated with David Guetta on the track “Sunshine”, which received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording. That same year, his track “Levels” reached the top ten in sixteen countries, and he was ranked No. 6 on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs. The following year he ranked No. 3.
In 2013, Avicii was once again nominated for a Grammy alongside leading performers such as Skrillex, Calvin Harris, and the Swedish House Mafia. His latest track “Wake Me Up!” hit No. 1 on the Spotify Global Chart and became the UK’s fastest single. Currently, he is the second most streamed artist in the world.
