Italian DJ and producer Marco Benassi, best known as Benny Benassi scored his first hit in 2001 with the track “I Feel So Fine”, which charted in his home country then hit No. 1 on the UK club chart. The following year, his track “Satisfaction” thrust him into the world spotlight, grabbing the attention of scene leaders such as Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez, and Darren Emerson, and reached No. 2 on the UK singles chart. In 2003, Benassi put out his first full-length album, entitled Hypnotica. The record made the most sales of any album outside of Italy, garnering him a European Border Breakers Award for cross cultural impact. Benassi later began producing remixes for hit artists such as OutKast, Felix da Housecat, Goldfrapp. In remix of Public Enemy’s “Bring the Noise” won him a Grammy in 2008.
