Born in the once-Netherlands colony of Suriname, Dutch DJ and producer Chuckie is known for his role in developing the “dirty house” scene, a sound and movement that involves urban style dancing, interactive stage shows, and bright lights. Additionally, Chuckie has played an instrumental role in creating the “dirty Dutch” genre, which is known for its Latin-based rhythms and wild synth leads.
Over the course of his career, Chuckie has released a number of hits, including “Make Some Noise”, “Aftershock”, and “Let the Bass Kick”. He has also created remixes for superstars such as David Guetta, the Black Eyed Peas, Enrique Iglesias, Kelly Rowland, Moby, Lil Jon, Pitbull, and Michael Jackson. As a producer, he has worked with 50 Cent, Akon, and Kesha.
